How to Set CPU Priority to Prefer Foreground Apps in Windows 10


In Windows 10, your computer’s CPU has to prioritize the different tasks it runs. If you notice that the foreground applications are being slowed down, it might be time to adjust the CPU priority. This tweak allows Windows 10 to give more priority to the foreground applications and significantly improve the user experience. Here’s a brief guide on how to set CPU priority to prefer foreground apps in Windows 10. 

Step 1: Right-click on the Windows icon on your Desktop and select the “Task Manager” option. 

Step 2: When the Task Manager window opens, click the “More details” option located at the bottom.

Step 4: Find the process that you want to give more CPU priority and click on it to select it. 

Step 5: Once you have selected the desired process, right-click on it and select the “Set priority” Option.
